Having a word

There are two ways of voicing your opinion on the fora. You can:
- answer a posting

Use the button to open a blank message.
You can also quote a whole or part of a message by using the button

The various buttons under the Subject field are the Bulletin Board codes. That's where the fun starts!

These codes allow you to change the colour and the size of your text, as well as write it in italics, bold or underlined.
The Emoticons, or smilies as they are better known, bring a touch of humour through the message. They are particularly useful when I'm trying to be funny!

Tip: if your Internet connexion uses a modem, you might be timed out while composing your message. You can disconnect from the Internet by choosing File/Work offline in the Toolbar.

Open a word-processing document (Notepad, Textpad, MSWord, etc.) and compose your message.

When you've written your your text, reconnect to the Internet, access the Bulletin Board, open a new message then Copy and Paste your text in the message field (highlight your text, use the keys Ctrl+C to Copy then Ctrl+V to Paste). |
When you're happy with your message, you can check the look of it by clicking the  Finally, post your message by clicking  |
However, you don't have to follow other people's ideas. You can also: |
- start a new topic |
In the General and Club Development fora,
where you see the button , you can create a new topic. |
It works much the same as posting a reply. The Subject has to be filled. It creates the title of your new topic.
Once your message has been posted, you can modify it still.

If you would like to modify your message once it has been posted, click on the button in the top right-hand corner of your posted message. If your message is the last one in the thread, you can delete it altogether by using the button .

Sometimes, all can't be said with words. You might want to post a picture or another document together with your message. Time to look at the attachments. |
