Sailing news
News... ahem... bit thin on the ground during those closed months, as you can imagine. Our talented AnchorLine editor is busy preparing another issue of the club magazine, complete with membership renewals and a few nice words from everyone (I think...)
Nothing much more to report in the sailing scene in LSC this month, since sailing is over until the 1st April.
However, our members stay active and join other clubs for their winter series. The prime example is Piddinghoe, where Lancing sailors dominate the results. Alan Simmons very kindly posts a weekly report on our boys' exploits on the forum. We've also read Tony's reports on the Bloody Mary and Chichester Snowflake, where the last Christmas cobwebs were blown away for good. In other places, other members will enter winter series and brave the cold, non-salty water. More in the next update...
Yotty news
Christmas has come early for some of our happy members, with a new toy in the family. Have fun...

Coming soon
The January Sunday Lunch happened on the 21st. We all enjoyed being together in a warm room, watching the waves crash on the beach. Next lunch will be on 18th February. Please call Mark or Isabelle to book a place, on 01273 703 512, or email by clicking here. As usual, let us know about any dietary requirements as well. . The menu will be posted here and on the forum closer to the time. See you there!

Get in shape for the new sailing season! The LSC bike ride will happen again this year, on 25th March 2007. It's Mothers' Day on that day so we will need to know numbers pretty soon in order to book a a table in a pub. The route can be another portion of the Downs Link (from Partridge Green to Cranleigh, for example), or we could investigate somewhere different this year. If you know of a safe, reasonably flat route suitable for all abilities with a decent pub nearby, please let me know!
Coming even later
17 June - London to Brighton Bike Ride 2007
This yearly event will take place on 17th June this year. Last year, a small team of enthusiastic (and slightly mad) cyclists from the club were part of the 27,000 riders wheeling it from Clapham Common to Brighton Madeira Drive. Funds are raised for the British Heart Foundation and there is no minimum amount to raise. The BHF website will tell you all there is to know and the entry forms are available by clicking here. Last year, the 18th June was a warm, sunny day and we all had a great time. Bonus: there was no wind so we didn't even miss any sailing!
Application forms are going fast, so if you are interested in joining the LSC team, please contact Isabelle on 01273 703512 or email by clicking here. Happy training!
