 A&O Regatta

The Derek Atkins Trophy and Owen Memorial Shield is a fast/slow handicap mini-series over the August Bank holiday. It is composed of 8 races. with 2 races back-to-back each morning and another 2 races in the afternoon. The race officer is free to vary the course, depending on the conditions and on the participants.
This year, Lancing Sailing Club also welcomes the Streaker and the Laser>> classes for open meetings. If each class enters more than 5 competitors, it will be given a separate start.
For the whole event (open racing and club racing) starts will be given from the committee boat and will follow a 5-4-1-go format. The sailing instructions and notice of race are available below.
